Dominica's Cannabis
A national civil society organization dedicated to representing, educating, and preparing local stakeholders for a responsible, inclusive, and locally owned cannabis sector.
Built with communities,
not around them
As Dominica moves toward a regulated cannabis framework, local communities, traditional growers, entrepreneurs, and future operators need a collective voice and a structured path to participation.
We exist to make sure the emerging industry is shaped not only by capital, but by culture, community, and local ownership.
"Dominica's cannabis industry should be built with local people, not around them."— WCA Core Belief
Association Before Commerce
Civil society representation establishes legitimacy before commercial structures are built.
Cooperative as Next Step
A future member-owned economic vehicle for production, services, and market access.
Data as Negotiating Power
We map members, land, skills, and needs. Structure creates leverage.
Culture Must Be Protected
Rastafari traditions, natural healers, and cultivators must be recognized in any regulatory framework.
Six pillars of responsible sector-building
Voice of the Sector
We represent local stakeholders before government, the Cannabis Authority, investors, regional agencies, and international partners.
Knowledge & Readiness
Training on licensing, compliance, responsible cultivation, transformation standards, and business preparation.
Policy that Protects
Recommendations to protect small producers, Rastafari, natural healers, women, youth, and Dominican ownership.
Sector Intelligence
A structured database of members, land, skills, needs, and priorities. Without data, there is no negotiating power.
Code of Conduct
Voluntary standards covering responsible cultivation, environmental protection, transparency, and collaboration.
Foundation for Growth
Identifying members ready to participate and defining the economic model for the future cooperative.
Association first. Cooperative next.
